CLAY COLLECTION

WILD CLAY

In the Clay Collection Marin use wild clay she harvest herself. She is always curious about new places to collect samples. To see that each place has his own history and story within the soil that we live on. With her experimental approach, Marin likes to explore the way the clay behaves and which techniques can be used. Each clay had different specifications and identities and is tested for properties in plasticity, texture and color. She likes to research how techniques influence the result and how the wild clay can be applied in different ways.

UNIQUE CHARACTERISTICS BECOME VISIBLE AND EMERGE AFTER PROCESSING THE WILD CLAY. THE PRODUCTS IN THE CLAY COLLECTION SHOW A RANGE OF COLOR NUANCES AND DIFFERENT TEXTURES.

Her current work is mostly contemporary tableware and home accessoires produced in plaster moulds, with pure and minimalistic forms. She creates vases, bowl and cups that are each unique by using local materials like wild clay. Her products are both functional and tactile and therefore invites to be touched. By combining the natural appearance with her timeless and minimalistic designs, she creates products with a story that are an enrichment and can be combined in all types of interiors.
